Another study I did of a Baldur's Gate 3 effect. This one looks simple, but, as with every part of this beautiful game, there are quite a few clever tricks to it. This effect heavily utilizes chromatic aberration, which I had a lot of fun playing with. I also created a procedural Band-Overlay material that takes into account the height of the individual input meshes. Inside the Blueprint, I sampled the Normal-Texture of the underlying material and fed it into my Overlay, which gives the Band some extra cool detail.
